On The Dot (Woman), is a women's empowerment organization dedicated to providing mentors to young women all around the world. Through showcasing successful women, providing insightful interviews, publishing articles daily, and hosting events, On The Dot strives to bridge the ‘confidence gap’ and provide women with the knowledge to reach their goals.

Responsibilities: Graphic design for promotional materials (digital and print), copywriting, social media management, publish weekly podcast episode, meeting daily deadlines, ensuring that content for social media is ready in a timely manner, giving input on the direction of the company/brand. Developing existing brand/visual identity to be more in-line with our goals.

On The Dot Woman is the sister company to the Austin Woman Magazine, both founded by Melinda Garvey.

Created a template for podcast episode covers. Before, they were putting these covers together in Canva. I created an easy to use template in Illustrator and locked the positions of vital elements. I also slightly tweaked the color palette to make it more pleasing to the eye and to create more contrast. Below you can see examples of the graphics I made for Instagram for their #WomanToWatch series. They would feature a new woman daily, and if they provided us with a photo or if there was a photo available on Wiki Commons, I would mask the photos and create these eye-catching graphics. This was the style already well-established before I came onboard, so I made some tweaks and polished it up. Hopefully, whoever takes my place can further develop this.

I also created Instagram Story cards to promote Wednesday’s featured woman.

Colors were taken from the original Instagram graphic. Fonts used are all fonts used by the brand in the past.

I also started making graphics promoting new Spotify playlists. Each playlist is focused on a different theme. I made the icons in Illustrator and imported into Photoshop for use.

I also made a logo for an event we co-hosted called Girls Just Wanna Have Funds. Since On The Dot is the sister company to the Austin Woman Magazine, we teamed up with them, and I used an illustration created by Jessica Wetterner.
